I just spotted this on eBay..

and it made me wonder something I've never really thought about till now. Were/are there miniatures based on the Dark Omen game or are some/all of the units in Dark Omen real life miniatures? I've never been involved in the actual real life Warhammer game so never thought it about it till now.

They all existed before the PC game. Even some of the named characters had models.
Possible exception: Witch Hunters first appeared as a model in 2010.

Their miniatures catalog in 1996 was 180+ pages. Plus they already had out 8 army books.

The Imperial Steam Tank was released in 1992.
