Oooo! The Chaos Dorf supplement! Nice one! I love the idea of evil dwarves based on Mesopotamian and Russian aesthetics!

Gratefully and greatly appreciated!

You think we're the only community on the planet still caring about Warhammer 3rd and 4th editions? Cheesy

Anyone can use any Rule Set they like, since any new Sprites are greatly received and appreciated, however I really don't have the Money to buy all the latest Edition Rule books and as I grew up with Late 80's and 90's Warhammer/Citadel, I personaly have a fondness for the old days.

Smiley

I purchased them for their inexpensive inspiring Art and insights to the Dark Omen Engine, like the Skeleton Rules etc and also to see all the indentical characters in Shadow of The Horned Rat and Dark Omen. Although mostly classed as 4th/5th (the 3rd Edition Rule books are awaitng delivery from Ebay), the 5th Editions are more 1996-2000, see both editions of the High Elves. We briefly discussed this concerning the Orc boar Chariot that is a new Edition and by Rights should be a 4th Edition Goblin Wolf Chariot (future project) and how Boars can be shot as separate Sprite from chariot(4th) but that in newer rules is 1 unit now. At this stage anything new is great. Ideally we would one day have that many sprites and armies we could decide which rule set to play by and Units/characters to select.

However, I have collected the whole range, since Battle Magic was released 1992 and Arcane Magic 1995 and Magic in 1996 so whatever Ruleset they cover I have all of them, to see how they changed over time, same for the Elves/Skaven. Each book naturally advertises other Books of it Publishing Era, remember some get re-released and its all down to availability of Ebay but here's my Book Dates.

"The fifth edition, released in 1996,(wiki) re-introduced the Bretonnian forces, which had been left out
of the 4th edition, and re-worked the slann heavily to create the Lizardmen armies".

I have also compared Shadow of the Horned Rat Stats and they are also 4th Edition (1992) Stats. I closely examined common Units to Dark Omen and SOTHR, such as Wood Elf Archers, Empire Greatswords, Treeman, Orc Boyz and Orc Biguns and they also share 4th Edition identical Stats. Now that I own both 4th Edition (1993) and 5th Edition (1996) Skaven Books, thier Stats don't alter from 4th to 5th editions either. Which is why they are grouped as 4th/5th as they share same stats but introduce new Magic (Magic Boxset 1996 5th Edition) and introduce new stuff, as well as Army Books for Lizardmen, Brettonians, Dogs of War and even Vampire Counts (1999),the last 5th Edition Book. If we ever want to add these ourselves, then the Books provide the perfect Stats lists for us.

Olly, this is a good candidate for a wiki article, perhaps under the "ref" namespace?

Most Bright Wizards dress like that, it signfies

they attended The Bright College. Bright Wizards

wear red, orange and other fiery colours. They often

have red hair and carry red tattoos upon their arms and

sometimes their faces. As a Bright Wizard progresses in his chosen

art, he earns symbolic keys which he hangs from a chain around his belt.

The more Keys and the heavier the chains, the more powerful the wizard.

Only the most powerful Wizard Lords of the Bright College carry a full set of seven Keys.
