i recently finished 3 misions of new capaing (hard mode) and its seems to be EZ cause you can block all armies with your tank and also have little better units than at goblin campaing (cause even crossbowmen not deal much damage but their distance is very high comparign to useless goblins)

you find the steam tank too powerful?
would you think mortar or cannon be better suited?

it gets harder later because enemy wizards tend to target the steam tank alot

well i dunno, tank aint that good at destroying enemy troops, but he is good in blocking and taking fire from archers.

and also it will be useless at big maps (at least for me) cause it really pisses off with this slow movement.

so mayeb its not really that imba; lets see in future missions.

p.s. from other way black grail mission was very hard for me at goblin campaing (mainly cause i cant imagine loosing any regiment) but with tank taking grail would be easier (probably)

you will start to face enemy artillery later and i have lost the tank several times in the tests, so i hope it will work ok

you have a very good fantasy .. good job, although I am a bit confused by the fact, that the story is not integrated into the game.. or maybe I am not able to do it :S... anyway its kinda confusing to see bernhard and then switch back to the dwarfs...

My conclusion good mod, and hard, by the way why you chose the ice mage, he really sucks ass my opinion... absolutly no use.... compared to bright magic...

yeah its a shame that it is not possible to alter the talk scenes yet

so for the time being alt-tab is the way to go

hehe the ice mage is very powerful if you learn to use him, he is not as offensive as the other mages but he has good spells. especially hawks of miska, ice shield, blizzard and the ice whirlwind that has unlimited range

You could record your own talk and use Robs editor for changing the sound files (must be in the download section anywhere)

lol i dont know that my voice acting skills are good enough for that but for the future its deffo a cool thing

and using it in Dark Omen, so instead of Charge

they Say Tally Ho! Thanks to Rob's excellent Audio Convertor.


Ultimately it was to try and extract/record the various Dwarf/other

Race voices from SOTHR, to re-use on any eventual new Units/Sprites.

As long as you have the agreement of the author

You don't need the consent of the original author to make a derivative work. You can sample audio, video, use art, whatever, as long as you create something new. Still, it is generally considered good form to ask for permission (depending on the degree of inclusion).

hello i copied noth of the files u mentioned in the instructions(1 pbat 1PARM) in games data folder and removed the older ones into another file but when i try to start a new campaign the video appears from first mission but the screen is black and all i can see is the troop commands icon on my right and the little arrow above to end the deployment phase...
is there something im forgeting?
