Should i do something specific before starting these? At DO2 in singleplayer i just get a bunch of skaven vs high elfs, but maybe this is suppose to be? Expanded aswell was something funky, cant remember now but ill update when i get back home what the issue was.

Yes the guide states to restart the game each time you swap mods.

Yeah im still getting the same starting mission on Dark omen 2, with a bunch of skaven on an open map vs elves

Yes that is normal as in Beta and just show cases what cam be done (new units on new maps) and is also for multiplayer.
