1  Warhammer Dark Omen / Multiplayer / Re: Hamachi on: February 19, 2009, 12:32:08 AM
Hey!
I've had a few conversations on Hamachi where I get nothing until the other person leaves, where I get all the messages they've sent at once. So if they're arranging something I can't say anything until it's too late, which is annoying because I'd hate for people to think I'm ignoring them or something  Undecided. If this common with other people or is there a workaround or fix?

Hey guys!
I was wondering if any of you have used the http://www.xtranormal.com/ video making thing.
You basically type text and alter the camera angle, and make the characters do various things. I've made a few, some more successful than others, maybe you guys should make some and post them here!  Grin

Hey guys,
I've actually played XIII Century, a few years ago I think. It's a lot like Dark Omen, but on a much larger scale, it definitely forces you to use units carefully, flanking and whatnot, and it plays pretty well. I sold it not that long ago because it lacks the longevity of most similar games.

If you're interested in regimental RTS games, you might like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_and_Merchants or its expansion. It's a very addictive game that has buildings, like those in Age of Empires or Starcraft, but the use of units is far more important. You have the general types, archers, swordsmen and knights, and you have to use them like in Dark Omen as a unit to destroy your opponents village/base. It's got a decent, original storyline and the occational cutscene, that I still find brilliant, even 10 years on.

Hey!
Thanks for the welcome!  Cheesy
I was talking to Olly about it yesterday and he was telling me what a great bunch of modders you have already, I doubt I could achieve anything like that, but I'm pretty good with VB and I'm sure I could learn C++ pretty quickly if needs be.
I'll definitely be up for testing anything so it's stable, like any alpha release or something.

I noticed you're also translating a lot of the website, if there's anything you need proof-read in English I could chip in, I only know pretty basic French, so not much help there, but if anything's been roughly translated to English I could help out.

Probably should've posted here earlier.
Great to find a community for this game and I'd totally be up for helping you guys out with the website or the amazing project you're up to. Feel free to PM me or chat or anything! Up for games on most days in the evenings.
Will be nice to meet you all anyway.  Wink

Hi guys, hope you don't mind if I add a few extra quotes that have minor mistakes in them:

"Ogers make good fighters. Tell them, they're welcome, so long as they don't drink to much blood during battles"

Ogers should be Ogres and to in this case would be too

"Ahh Matthias, fancing meeting you here. Have you taking time off from burning innocent women as witches?

fancing should be fancy and taking should be taken

"How can you repay us? I give you a clue: they're round, they glitter and they fill bourses"

'I' should be I'll or I will bourses should be purses

"They defiling the secret stone, stop them"

They should be They're or They are

Eusebio The Bleak: "They're to the north"
Morgan Bernhardt: "No, to the east"
Eusebio The Bleak: "They're all arround us"

arround should be around

"By Kislev, my axe will taste troll blood before this day is gone!"

I might be wrong with this one but is it done! instead?

"Mork, help us - we 're trapped humies everywhere!"

Space between the appostrophe and the e.

Only minor mistakes, but you may want to ammend them Grin
