Fair Omen

Standard Rules
One army made from each of the 3 races, one may be changed, but no armies may be changed in the final.
In the group stage all 3 armies may be used up to 2 times each, which means 3 battles vs the 2-3 opponents
The players will each pick a map and if its a 3 battle match agree on the 3rd map
In case of equal points its the individual battle that counts
If still equal then a sudden death match is played
In the final stages every race may only be used once per each best of 3 battle

For This tournament only Random maps may be used.

hi there, miss me ? XD i sign in, and confirm with FAIR OMEN MOD ;) i guess taht for now it is thebest for zombably, but he have to understand that , for future  tournaments he will need to make a backup of dark omen ofolder... because oters mods, chanoge some files :)

This is the link to read about Fair Omen + download it. Its easy to install (just overwrite 1 folder, 1 archive).
Dont worry, it brings the backup archives with those of original game, so you dont lose them.

Great job Flak. We will play with the new maps obviously.

Considering these new maps we will discuss tomorrow a suitable Gold Limit.

I put the maps on, but now its telling me it wont run due to a direct x error or an incompatible display driver?

Since i've tried installing the new maos for the tourney my discs refused to play even after removing the files and replacing them with the backups....No idea what to do

that sounds odd, the maps arent loaded until you try to use them in multi

ohhh.. zombably, download again the map patch olly have fixed it :) flak made a mistake in making of patch, dont worries zombably, just download the map patch again :D

Here goes something...

Zombably's problem is probably not related to Flak's Map patch issue, that wouldn't crash game, just return you to main menu when trying to host. So I can help him Zombably check his files are in order.

with quite a few challenges we almost finished the tournament, only the final between me and jeronimo remains

I hope the random maps added some fun to the battles

I enjoyed this tournament, there were some fun battles (specially those my brother played :D).

I'll be connected in next saturday/sunday, so we meet to play the finals Flak.

Unfortunately, I could not take part in the tournament  :'(
First, the collapse of Dark Omen, and then - virus attack locked the OS  . Had to reinstall Windows

Great Tournament, thanks to Flak's new alternate Deployment Zone Map Pack, that really breathed new life in Dark Omen Multiplayer.

Im glad everyone enjoyed the map patch

I will work on merging the map patch into ghabry's map patch and hopefully make a few more alternate maps

i played only 3 battles on new random map, and maps was good, except "road to kislev". too unbalanced i think and lots possible places for bugs.

but its OKish

what i hated, i really hated, is that frigging conenction. i really angry about that stupid DO engine so each other game gets kicked out. also i dont like when Jero and Ramiro play at same PC. it double up tournament time. wtffffff
pls dont do it! its unethitcal for other players imo.. (well i missed 40 minutes of tourney, im unethical too)

all in all i would be very happy if it would be possible to move DO engine to some other platofmr, a least fix that anoying network code..

I liked most of the maps exept road to kislev, axebit pass is nice, you CANT see in wich part of the other side of the the enemy is haha ;)
