As promised a long time ago to bembe i will show some pics of the pigs on the farm where i work ;D

this is the general population of mother pigs

this machine feeds them by reading their ear marks, and they only get food once a day, eventho they try to see if they can get more

these 2 show the place they wait to get on heat and get inseminated

here are the pigs just after they are they move away from they mother, 4 weeks old

this is their little den with a heating lamp that they have until they are 4-5 days old

they are very curious but also destructive as everything has to be tasted and pushed

Have u ever recreated Rome Total war by covering the pigs' back in Tar and setting them on fire, so they run and scare the enemy elephants?

It was a very long time since I visited a farm of any kind, so I've quite forgotten how much things have changed
-it's not so much about manual labor anymore is it!

How large is the staffing where you work? I can imagine that the personnel-per-animal count is rather extreme!

BTW, what movie is that god-awful clip from? I only recognize it from a South Park episode where George Lucas and
Steven Spielberg "rape" Indiana Jones  :'( ;) 

on the farm there are about 360 sows (mother pigs) 1 male hehe about 1400 young pigs and about 700 piglets on average at any given time, and theres is the owner and me working there so 2 people

A whole thread, dedicated to me.......and it's over pigs ;) I hope it's not a broad hint :D

btt: last time I was in a pig farm in Germany, it looked very similar, but I think the pigs had less space and it was more clinical sterile. Less animal friendly than yours (if we can compare "animal friendly" in farms).

pigs are pregnant for 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days, so count the time and i shall promise to return with the fruits of my labor  ;)

lol D5 is my helper, he gets them in the mood, as he is more appealing to them than i am
