Like we announced on the frontpage (http://en.dark-omen.org/news/tournament/small-tournament-2/all-pages.html), we plan the 2nd tournament. This topic is for asking questions and all other stuff relating to the tournament.

• Every player creates 3 armys with different races (1 empire, 1 greenskin, 1 undead)
• You have to use this 3 armys and you're not allowed to create more or use others.
• You can use every army 3 times in the whole tournament

Due the fact, that we have now only 8 players, I changed the fixtures. Additionally only the first and the second of each group will reach the finals. In the finals we will play a "best of 3"-game. So we will have a total of 9 games. (The other rules will be the same)

I let my brother borrow my CD-Drive and used my DVD-drive

Ive been looking for Dark Omen for 3 weeks and he has it, it was in the CD-drive :o

Ok I changed one thing in the 3000/10 rules:

I increased the points from a Troll: 1 => 2

If you use a Troll, please look in your army, if it fits the "new" rules.

If nobody have any suggestion and ideas for improving the rules, we will use the ruleset with the oldid=1146

The maplist will coming soon. If you wanna have any Singleplayer maps in the tournament, post it here and Ghabry will convert it (perhaps ;) )

am i to understand that i have 3000gc to make an army with and that in addition to that have to count the 10 pts to see that i dont make the army too powerfull. is it even possible to have more points than 10 with only 3000gc

Yes you have 3000gc and 10 point as limit.

It's possible (but not allowed) to create an army with more than 10 points (BGK+Skeleton e.g.)

Will there be a tournament with groups and finals?

Yes, we will have groups+finals

It depends on the number of players. If we have 12, we will use this structure: click (http://en.dark-omen.org/news/tournament/small-tournament-2/all-pages.html). Otherwise we will use the same structure as last time: click (http://forum.dark-omen.org/multiplayer/tournament-t130.0.html;msg447#msg447); with a final round and a loser round.

16 days left to the tournament and we need some ideas, which maps we should use. Because Ghabry can convert very singleplayer map to multiplayer, we wanna use 2 singleplayer maps. So say us your opinion, which one you want.

u can have BoW on 2p, but banne it from cavalry :P

cuz if i meet one more army with BoW on cavalry and chicken runs, i wont play again, never ever....

The last time we needed ~4h for all games. But we were very slow and chatted a lot. So you can expect the same time, I think.


Why? It's a legal tactic to pay 6++ points to have a cavalry+BoW. I think it's expensive enough....buy one archer and shot it :P

The 3000/10 rules are not created to ban units etc. they are created to make the game fair, without a patch....and nevertheless all units/combinations playable.

yeah ive made some armies now and 10pts isnt that much.

What day is the "match" day?

Yeah, that's on purpose, cause we wanna have quick, offensive games with a lot of tactics and no camping ;)

There is something that it was no clear for me in the first tourney  :P; we can change the entire army betwen a match and the next one? If this is correct its fine for me, at least until we made regular Tournaments with more estrict rules, for now the main reason is have fun  :D, but the other question is: we can also change of race? (Empire, greenskins, undead) i think we can start to make that restriction  8), you can change the entire army but you can't change of race. It's the right time or it's too soon to make that rule?  :-\ please post your opinion. bye!  :)

my DO has crashed,, trying to get it to work, hope i can manage it befor tourney.

ok it seems, that we have 10 Player

So we plan 2 groups with 5 players in each group. The best 4 players of each groups will reach the finals. The final itself will be a "best of 3" games (the player who will win two games overall, will be the winner)

I thought about the suggestions regarding the amys/races etc, and my idea was:

- Every player creates 3 armys with different races (1 empire, 1 greenskin, 1 undead)
- You have to use this 3 armys and you're not allowed to create more or use others.
- You can use every army 3 times in the whole tournament

So if you past the final (= 9 games) you had to use every army/race 3 times and you are predestined to be the "Master of 3k/10".

Finally I have a personal request: When you're in the "army/map-chooser",please don't wait that your enemy press start and choose, after that, an army, that have advantages over the enemys one, or if you choose one and see, that you enemy have a "better" race, don't change your army after your enemy pressed start.

thats sounds cool, prevents too many undead armies

are we to submit the armies or just keep count ourselves?

I think, we can trust each other and it should be enough, that every player say the race he used in the last battle.

yeah it was a real cool turnament thats for sure, hehe and the endless groupe we kept winning and loosing 1-1

Indeed, that was really entertaining, that we after an additional elimination round still were tied with two wins and losses each!

Anyway, Flak and Dj (whom I played), good matches and much fun was had! I look forward to spilling your blood again! And I really agree with Olly, playing on new maps was great! Especially the undead town map is great fun!

Yeah it was a great tournament, gratz to Christoph Rachel. Sadly to say, that 2 players didn't appear.

yeah Grisberg Town is a very cool map, i never exspected my poor goblins to be able to defeat your undead army there

hehe i wonder how may rounds we would have needed to finish our groupe before somebody would have lost twice :P ::)
