My records sucks too Sad

After changing the DO gamesettings to very bad eyekilling one, only the banners and the interface flickers.

I have checked nearly all CamStudiosettings but nothing helps to fix this stupid flickering.

I think i got a better quali if i use my digicam  Grin

I updated my guide in the Blog.
You should encode your youtube videos following it. Saves lots of encoding time and looks good on youtube too (using xvid, thx to Jim ^^)

Use a more trivial filename like a.avi for the output file (you save to). You can then rename the file after a successful encoding.

And important: youtube changed the max video length! It is now 15 minutes. This allows uploading of longer battles without splitting Smiley

Hello Smiley

I'm trying to record some battles in W:DO but I'm facing serious problems

Using FRAPS 3.4.2 :

Every time I use FRAPS the game crashes when starting the recording, there is nothing I can do here. Tried to use 25 fps or less, remove external audio imput...everything makes the game crash.

Using Camtasia Recorder (8.0)

This time I'm able to record what's happening on screen but I can't avoid the flickering on the video, just on the video cause the only hint I've got about the flickering when playing and recording is the mouse cursor doing this odd effect. Tried many options coming with the recorder and all i've got is a video flickering or a video completly in black.

So any hints about this?

Fraps doesn't work on my windows 8/8.1 on 2 different computers but does on Win 7. There's loads of suggestions on the internet but none work for me, including NVidia Shadowing. However, I will let you know if I do get it working as others say it works fine for them without any extra tweaking.
