the 8ht edition of skaven army book it not out yet i think but i found the Uniforms_and_Heraldry_of_the_Skaven

Check out the Shadow of The Horned Rat Manual for Skaven stats - page.57 and I've got the original 1995 Skaven Rulebook for descriptions and more info

Good discussion going on about Skaven Warpthrower, as no perfect solution available yet.

"If it shoots brain bursta spell then it will take manna away from the enemy pool that Thanqoul, the Grey Seer mage will use. If we make too much manna available then the mage might steal it all and become overpowered. A possible solution might be too reduce the cost of the Brain Bursta to 0 and then only give it as a spell to the Skaven Warpthrower. Although he will fire a lot it would be less damage than the gaze of Mork beam and they tend to cast dispels upon themselves which might stagger the rapid fire.

While I do not deny that what Olly suggests might work, I see too many problems for that to be useful until developers hack more stuff )
A quicker solution I am going to test, and if it works, to add to w-elf campaign is:
If you make an archers sprite frame 33511 but set sprite type orc mage. (in xslots.txt) the sprites seem to use last 8 frames for shooting just fine. And at the same time green spiral flickering appears over them as if orc mage casts a spell.
I am going to use steam tank shells and hope green casting spiral will hint players that this is not ordinary shell but warp fire Smiley

Sounds Cool. Reminds me of the Dark Omen Expanded Chaos Dwarves when they fired (Purple mist from Undead Mage)
