AoEC its fun, i had forgotten all about it, playn campaign with the Aztecs very fun, tho it sucks to fight Knights with spearmen :o

I like Aztecs and Persians

i personally havent sticked to any race too much, very dislike aztecs or other "barbarians" though (even tho i like their more macro/economy oriented specialities)

perhars i most liked Saladin army (mameluks i guess? dont like untis themselves but theme overall) or Mongolians due of their awesome leaders, i'm just imagine how i break enemy and he thoughts "ahh mongolians horde  i cant survive it" or something.

for most "funny" units its definately Chi-Ko-Nu which can shoot like 3 arrows per shoot  (btw maybe its japan unit?). It would be funny to play, esp in terms of current skill of basic RTS games.

LOVE to see horsemen hit-n-run attacks for peasants on farm or something.
I think it could be very funny to counter these "standard" strategies most people tend to use as newbies where they try to make their city walled off with lots of tower and castle behind and then build tonns of cavalry/other best untis and attack.

 I think its possible to rush such games out not allowing people to make such "turtle" and passive strategies which i found unfun to counter. (and i hate war machines frankly speaking)

Unfortunately i bet there is several imbalanced strategies over AOE, as well as some "TOP" races making other literally pathetic to use. Thats cause AoE not such a great community game like Starcraft or somrhting whrre they can balance game in dozens of patches to polish it.
So it makes me bad if i udnerstand that "pro" games could abuse such tactics taking fun part from the game.

as for downloading issue- i tried to play AOE before and had troubles. There is some issues with patch version, expansion/not expansion, etc.

What if i will found this game by myself and say where to dl it? Main purpose is to have one version and one game. its not that simple as DO, there is several patches and few expansions around.

the main problem i find with aztecs is that they have no cavalry, however some of the most expensive cavalry units can be a big drain on resources, esp if they are lost and needs to be replaced.

I dont like millions of towers either, but they are needed as you can only have 200 units, you cannot leave half the army at home when you attack, you need to slow down any attacker in order to return.

What i find very amusing is the battle for resources that takes place after a little while, when gold and stone becomes harder to find, to build a strong army you need gold and "colonies" needs protection. I find many of the best battles takes place on these frontiers where few buildings exist and its more up to the usage of fast units.

Yeah some elements of AoE are terribly balanced esp the cannon units, Bombard cannon is ridicules and looks like a joke.

Today was lordbraprus, alavet, me: 3 ffa, medium size, low resource, continental (unexplored).

We had a lot of fun. I removed my bro from his base, so then he moved to alavet's base and became allies.

Alavet tried to win with Wonder the very bitch. Our fights were very bloody, and finally he consumed all his resources, so couldnt afford for more units and I destroyed the Wonder when had like 50 years left (started with 200)...

My bro after I kicked his ass, went into a smooth gameplay, becoming a pain in the ass while I fought alavet.
Well played, really surprised by alavet's level. He is good adversary. Chu-ko-nu!!

Seven kingdom? :D I played Seven kingdom 1 when i was young (5 or maybe 6 years old) :D i think i get somewhere seven kingdom 2 :D.

After AoE game, my bro pass me the link with Seven Kingdoms 2: The Frythan Wars.... and yes: we played 2 games.

Both with CPU also, to make it more epic: with spies and everything.

Good fun also. I played with Normands (both games), My brother was Vikings and then Cartaginens...

Bloody Monsters, those Frythans... Exovum & Kharsuf races Rule!! :)

We recommend it, after AoE, this game also has his mighty attraction.
