Title: TurnBased Dark Omen Strategy
Post by: sipax on September 09, 2009, 07:35:13 AM
If i can fix my poor turn-based AI, i will be able to create turn based dark omen game like game that you playing here. (conquest battleground)
But map will be different, original map is too big.

-->About game:
-3 races to choice- Empire, Orcs, UD. With some original & new troops.
-New map. 40 territories. It named "Battleground of the Gods".
-Multiplayer game. Players can play together, making their turns by order.
-New enemy race. (player cant play with them)
-Battles calculating automaticaly, but you can see the "battle".

-->About gameplay:
Player can choose 1 of 3 race, and fight against 2 other (which he doesnt choosed) and 1 special enemy.
Player cant make any alliances.
Player win, then conquer the main "special enemy" territory.

-->Scenario is not yet completed.

-->OS compatibility
XP ONLY!!! (SP patches are welcome)

Is someone interested? It will help me speed-up the process of creating. lol
But i cant say then the game will be finished. There can be some problems.

uh.

so as far as i got its completely a new "game" (program), right?

since conquest is only a "tool" for connecting players between battles, not special program.

i dont get this, please eleborate futher
-Battles calculating automaticaly, but you can see the "battle".

It means then you troops arrive the enemy zone (territory) you can see how you troops fighting, but cant controll them. But you also can choose automaticalu calculation, so battle will end quickly. And reqiments will be displayed only as banners on the battlefield, so it will be very practical, then you have much troops.

UPD-
in fight, reqiments will not use Warhammer engine, which is very hard to create, so its just strategy with similar troops (and new ones).

Feel free to ask me about improving your AI. It has always been one of my favourite fields in computer science and game development!
