Post by: warhammerfreak on June 30, 2009, 10:04:07 PM
Hi,

I was wondering what music you guys prefer.

I like listening to heavy metal groups like Iron Maiden and Manowar, Also I like folk metal groups like Turisas and Korpiklaani. I also like Ancient Rites wich is a Flemish black metal group.

i dont listen to music often, but i do have a few iron maiden and manowar songs on my pc.

when i listen to music its usualy rock/metal,sometimes country and i have alot of opening and ending songs of animes i like.

but i tend to listen more to talk radioshows/podcasts when i play games.

i hear ya mate, manowar is "battle music" like no other  ;D

gets me psyched up for DO battles, i wanted to make Manowar the theme for the dwarf campaign but i am not capable of that  :(

but also i find myself listening to  a wide range of stuff, such as Cradle of Filth, Metallica, Linkin Park, AC/DC, SOAD but also Frank Sinatra and Elvis (the King) aaha!

I wonder, if you have to hear manowar to become a Dark Omen player of if you have to play Dark Omen and then you'll like manowar.

it is indeed weird that everyone who posted so far likes em.

they have alot of good songs but i think their best must be heart of steel and battle hymns.

i have posted recently my musical tendence.

Nice post for complete my declaration of "heavy metal eater"

Accept & U.D.O. and their 99.9% tracklist are my favorites; manowar, human fortress, heaven's gate... etc.
58.4% from Metal Church, specially those whit David Wayne (q.e.p.d), 87% from annihilator and 80% from Rob Halford solist.
Im a spanish speaker and i got my reverences to some spanish singer bands like Angeles del infierno, specially diabolica disc and my local band Panzer (great name - from chile)

In 80's and actually i still loves some glam metal, time has shown that those bands were amazing like motel cure, ratt, armored sait, etc, going really upper than s.h.i.t.s like nirvana, the new s.h.i.tallica, cradle of s.h.i.t and more s.h.i.ts

.....metal is slowly dying

Brothers everywhere raise your hands into the air...

Yeah man, Manowar is pretty good.

But in my opinion the most epic band ever is Hammerfall.  ;D

That's the very definition of Death Metal, isn't it? :D

Im not a trully Metal fan, but I liked this Contra Music remake from a heavy metal band called Vomitron (not deathmetal I know). If you listen the original Soundtrack from Konami 1988 and compare with this Metal Remix you will notice the resemblance. Contra for Nes is part of my arcade past roots, what a classic!

you know, people tend to call stupid combination of wierd sounds as "music". no idea why, it's just a simple copy paste of sounds, rather limited in quantity... why people enjoy music, really?

Title: Re: Music

I liked that song and has listened to it a few times at work today. It is a good ambient trance tune with a positive beat. And electronic music is usually based on repetition. Btw, hip hop or rap, which most people will claim to like, is much more repetitive still. (Btw, I can't stand hip hop or rap).
