Title: Bretonia - Loren Lake
Post by: Pavis of Foul Presence on June 24, 2009, 01:16:39 PM

Greetings to you, my fellow forum members,

I have a question regarding the battle at Lake Loren, as the topic might have revealed. I wonder if there is any reward or better situation if I help the treeman to defend his brethren. I got the elven-bowmen, am I able to get the spelleater shield anyway? I'd like to.

Yours sincerely,

Pavis of Foul Presence

If you help the treeman, your "reward" will be, that you can fight with the treeman (and you "protect" the forest). But if you decline helping him, you will "earn" the spelleater shield in the other level. So it's "better" if you will not help him.

Trivia:
It's the only time in the game the 2nd answer is good :)

the first times i played the campaign i said not to go with the wood elf,so i got an extra cavalry regiment, but when i finaly tried the wood elf archers i was very pleased with the :p

u do get to do some other missions if u dont go with them,so its prob best to save there and try both ways.

If you have room in your rooster, you will get the elves+the cavalry if you move to the clearing. It seems, that this is a bug.

Sure?
I can only remember a bug in Vingtienne. A cavalry regiment asks you to fight some greenskin and if you say no they will still follow you --> Bug
But this mission is fun and easy so why not playing it? ;)

Interestingly in the Beta- Pics/Magazine Developer's Interview,

they mention seeing Fish swimming, as part of the Particle Development

System and I've always liked to imagine it must have been on Loren Lake.

and i like hearing the treeman voice.... i miss the spanish voice!! it is so varonil hahahahah

If you don't help the Treeman a different mission starts (Forest Loren - Clearing). It's quite difficult imo and you can get an item there(???).

Behind, in the middle of those six stones - but you got to activate the area spell of the fire mage, otherwise you wont get thze shield. So if you don't have the area spell you got to replay the mission before the get the spelleater shield.

Do you need a german translation?

Kein Problem  ;)

Shooting thousands of fireball spells on the stone circle should work too. But really takes a lot of time.

Feuerbälle müssten auch funktionieren, dauert aber deutlich länger.
