i pretty like that we're allowed to use avatars and w already have most of portraits at the website (for those who dont know: http://en.dark-omen.org/troops.html (http://en.dark-omen.org/troops.html) )


but from other way seems that only little users use it, which makes me little sad.
so i thought about it and thnk that it will be nice to see "game" avatrs for some active and "old" users like Flak, Olly, Gharby, Mika, Dj, warpghost, zzuu and others...

and i takes responsibility to choose some avatars for some of members. its nothing about the sntrenght of each player but mostly about "image" i have about each one.

for example i think that olly fits very much for one of these avatars:

You can find all Dark Omen Portratis by visiting http://en.dark-omen.org/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=28&task=userAvatar (http://en.dark-omen.org/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&Itemid=28&task=userAvatar). BUt it looks like that this only sets the avatar on the website and not in the forum.

I added all portratis to the Forum Avatar list one minute ago.
Just visit your Profile and click "Forum Profile Information".
At "Personalized Picture:" you can find the folders [Empire], [Greenskin] and [Undead] which contains all portratis of the regiments in the game ([Actors] and [Musicians] are from the SMF-Forum Software ;))

Have fun setting your new Avatar :D.

Since I am not yet an 'old' member (ok, I am older than the most of you, but that's not what was meant), I'd like to stick to my current one, for now at least.
By the way, what do you think of it? It's a 'logo' I created myself for the department I used to work for: the Medicinal Chemistry Support.

well you seem to be rather pedantic, i.e. using structurized and difficuilt constructed sentences so it seems to be little, hm.. let,s say... "elfish"... :D

and as for crossbowmen you're very understimate their power. there is lots of situations where crossbow better than usual archers, i actually liketo use them.
but i just love canons stronger :)

anyway, feel free to choose any avatar (better not already used, i.e. not fro mactive member used and for exampel we already ahve avatar of infantry mercenary (Cholio), Troll (Malus), Wraiths (Kyyper).. lodrbrapus used to have Gnouls avatar, i remebered that one..

i like avtaas and this image getting simbitic with his owner. I little bored of my own avatar, but i think if i change it, lots of members will have discomfort about it.

in my opinion Mikademus = Dread king due to his long-time dedication to Dark Omen community, and also his much dreaded persona as when he put updates about his work on new DO only few braves manage to say kind words, while other run in fear

and if i may add Nitrox = Zombie as he and zombies often come to a fight but run rather fast ;)

I think I'll wait for the votes to filter in before picking some form of Avatar... Just to be on the safe side. It's not much odds to me. I would of probably gone with a Vampire Countess or Morgan if I'd thought about it the beginning, purely because on the tabletop I either lead an undead Army of three vampricial (spelling?) sisters, or my merry Dogs of War Mercenary band. (Although, alas, the DOW rules are outdated enough to make them next to unplayable. Still the vampires have a very healthy win/loss record. (Four attacks, hitting on threes, always stiking first at strength seven, gaining an additional attack with every successful wound caused, if I remember my vampire rules correctly. She could take out a charging dinosaur without breaking a sweat...)
