Hello Guys,

I need some help.
I'm trying to start DO on my laptop:
Latitude 5420
Info about system and paths in screens.

I installed DO from CD from the internet
Than I used your guide to install mods and stuff and start game from C:\Program Files (x86)\Dark Omen\PRG_ENG\engrel.exe
Game do not want to start due to issue with drivers... The same that is posted all the time:
dark omen failed due to an incompatible directx version
When I installd that 3d emulator it helped and game started but only with Disable and passthrou to real DirectX...
but I get screen flickering on left side and running campaign is ok but textures are not working correctly. Also I cannot run this with better screen resolution thatn that 640x480...

Can you help me with this?

Hi and welcome, your issue will be not using a UK version of the CD. Send me your teamviewer ID and session password to remote in this evening at 7pm GMT 0 onwards.

I made clean install with AV removed... Nothing helped.

I made some changes though and that allowed me to start DO.
But I see left side of screen flickering and in combat textures are not working correctly just as they were in screens from main fix topic.

Flickering Screen.png

It was possible when I made thus changes in dgvoodoo config.png
So setting there Disable and passthrou to real DirectX

There's something else that is causing these issues, especially if dgvoodoo2 also doesn't run as expected. Please check that you don't have a docking station display driver installed for your laptop, as very similar to this

I don't have one.
Also screen from running campaign in 3d. In CPU looks more with purple... not black...

I can remote in again tomorrow at 7pm onwards and yes please post your installed programs. I would also download a direct x install from Microsoft. If I cant fix then we can always use a virtual PC. Or the issue may have arisen after using that internet CD so the registry still has some settings left over.
