Hi, I encountered a problem with graphics editor GIMP.
I paste a picture from a jpeg, I convert it into Indexed Mode, I save it. But when I reload it, it is RGB mode again as if I hadn't converted it at all.

If I paste the picture into an already Indexed File (for example a file generated by the Sprite Viewer), it is saved properly, but then it requires a huge editorial work with the colors: by default colors from the existing file are picked, but not from the pasted picture.

I failed to find, why it is properly converted into the Indexed Mode and picks up the colors for the 16-color map, but after I do 'save as' or something (tried all options I could find) it is saved as RGB.

Could someone who had the experience help me?

Seem to have found a solution. I need an image with resolution 72x72, and by default it creates 200x200 or something.
